Dinwoody Creek Petroglyphs

Carved over thousands of years by prehistoric groups, these rock art panels are some of the most distinctive of native American rock art styles. Rock art at the Dinwoody site is dated from about 5500 years ago to only a couple of centuries ago. But the Dinwoody style dates to a period from 2500 years ago to 1000 years ago. As with all my rock art photographs I have added a little contrast using Lightroom. Due to the significance I attach to this rock art I have included a fair amount of redundancy and alternate views of the panels.
These panels have suffered from remineralization and some chalking in. I have attempted using Lightroom to make the glyph details as visible as possible. I present some of the panels in black and white, some with color, contrast, tint and clarity adjustments to dig the maximum detail out of the available photographs.
