Torrey Creek (Whiskey Basin) Petroglyphs

Torrey Creek is the next upstream left hand drainage into the Wind River above the Dinwoody Creek drainage. The rock art at this site is not as extensive or as elaborate at that along Dinwoody Creek. But it is still impressive and unlike the Dinwoody site much of the rock art is on standalone bolders. As at Dinwoody the Dinwoody style is deemed to date from 2500 years ago to 1000 years ago. There is comparatively little modern grafitti at either site but there is some evidence of chalking in for better photographic contrast. This is expecially true at the Dinwoody site. As with all my rock art photographs I have added a little contrast using Lightroom. Due to the significance I attach to this rock art I have included a fair amount of redundancy and alternate views of the panels.
